cPanel Features

Opening Your cPanel

Your cPanel hosting control panel is at http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/ (replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name). To login, use your standard hosting user ID and password.

SECURITY: We have an added level of security, but because it is 'self-signed' you will need to make an exception to allow access when your browser gives you a warning message.

Your cPanel Main Page should look like this.

cPanel Support Ticket

Before submitting a ticket review the information provided below and be sure you understand detailed information on Support.

From your cPanel, click the 'Submit a Support Request' icon. Complete the Support Request ticket, making sure to include your email address and comments.

cPanel User Manual & Forum

If you need more details than are provided in each section of cPanel, you can view the User Manual by clicking here. There is also a cPanel Forum where you can ask questions and search for up-to-date information found here.

Managing Your Email

  • For email management instructions go here.
The instructions include setting up email accounts, email forwarding, and methods to avoid spam.
  • For instructions on sending/receiving email go here.

Viewing Web Statistics

Curious to know the number of visitors you've had to your website? cPanel web statistics will give you daily and monthly averages for hits and visits. Here's where you go:

  1. Go to the 'Logs' section in cPanel (http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/).
  2. Click on 'Awstats'. This takes you to the monthly summary page. The most important statistic is Daily Average Visits.
  3. Click on a particular month to open its detail page.
  4. Click 'Referrers' to see who is referring people to your site. Many of the referrers are triggered by other pages on your own website. Ignore those and instead focus on referrers from other websites.

Creating a Backup of Your Website

The single most important thing you can do with your website is a backup of your web page files and databases.  For detailed instructions go here. Also included are instructions for restoring a backup.
